Welcome to Yours, an enchanting café nestled in the heart of Central Dunedin at 43 Moray Place. Here, the essence of community shines brighter than the coffee itself, creating an inviting atmosphere that beckons both locals and travelers alike.

As you step inside, you'll be captivated by the warm, unpretentious ambiance. Soft lighting bathes the room in a cozy glow, while mellow music dances through the air, punctuated by the cheerful chatter of familiar faces. The baristas, whose friendly smiles greet you like old friends, take the time to remember your name and preferences, ensuring that every visit feels personal and special.

Yours is not just a café; it's a sanctuary for those seeking comfort and inspiration. While the café embraces a mostly vegan menu, featuring dishes like the mouthwatering whole roast cauliflower, the heart of this place is in its philosophy of inclusivity. The concept of "pay what you want or can" underscores a commitment to community and access, making Your an attractive option for anyone craving nutritious, thoughtfully curated meals without the weight of a hefty price tag.

Customer reviews echo this sentiment beautifully. Keating L writes about the “friendly, lived-in feel,” perfect for unwinding with a warm drink or diving into a good book. Yuki Mat praises the delicious selections and the friendly atmosphere, while L. Maÿlis encourages others not to hesitate in supporting such a wonderful initiative. It’s apparent that the ambiance works in harmony with its patrons, creating an environment that is both productive and relaxing.

Already known for its unique charm, Yours also hosts quirky events and initiatives, as Pearse Anderson hilariously notes with a nod to “dog bingo” and high-quality modern cookbooks. It's a space where creativity flourishes, drawing in dreamers and doers who appreciate a good cup of coffee alongside a myriad of stimulating activities. Whether it’s studying, socializing, or exploring art, this café has it all.

For those seeking a vibrant, inclusive space to enjoy wholesome food, connect with community members, or just take a moment to relax, Yours is the destination that promises to nourish both body and spirit. Come by, grab a coffee, and bask in the unique experience that only Yours can provide.

not just the drink. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious. Soft lighting, mellow music in the background, and locals chatting in the corner gives it that friendly, lived‑in feel. The baristas are welcoming — they remember regulars and always offer suggestions if you want to try something new.

Most of the food is vegan and all the ingredients are selected carefully. Whole roast cauliflower was delicious. Very friendly atmosphere. The price is flexible, pay what you want or can.

So happy to have walked in front of this place and decided to enter. Really nice alternative place and friendly people. Do not hesitate to enter and support their way of doing ! Also really good snacks ;) Will maybe try the meals another time

Single-handedly the best place in all of this city. *Bill Hader Stefon voice* this place has everything: free lentils, dog bingo, high quality modern cookbooks, a clothing swap area, a 1-pm noise concert that uses mask and Winnie the Pooh toy technology, a copy of “Reindeer at the End of the World” by Bathseba Demuth, published in Emergence Magazine, a zine library, a bunch of freaks, and the best damn coffee I've had in months. The best kind of anarchists: ones that can organize cool events and make me feel at home halfway across the world. Dunedin is the farthest city in the world from France, but I hope the French are learning from places like Yours.

My favorite cafe in Dunedin (and NZ, probably) We really enjoyed Yours Cafe, from the idea behind it, its philosophy, the energy and vibes, the people working there, the community feeling, to the space, the food and drinks. I've had the best Lavender Masala chai (a Yours invention as far as I'm concerned) the food is also very good, you can tell they make it with their hearts. Really nice people working and sustaining the café! The 2 times we ate and hung, we did some dishes afterwards to help. I recommend doing the same! Ah and also try the bread and the desserts! The date cake was delicious

Since Yours took over the Asian building, I always wonder what kind of place and always seen young hipsters in and out. Today went to the shop near by and saw Yours sign said cafe and bread. So I decided to go in and Check it out. First shocked with there is no fixed price. It is all donation base, food, bread or drink. It has bucket for cash, help yourself with change if you put pay cash. And Eftpos available, you put amount yourself. I ordered two apple pies to take away. And they gave such generous size so I ordered Chai latte. Again no price. Oh they can't do take away drink but you can borrow their cups. Oh they made best chai latte ever! Warning - they do have specific politic point of view. They are pro Palestinian. If you have against that belief and would be offended, probably not best place to visit.

Amazing collective cafe. The food and service were good but the atmosphere was amazing with a small jazz quartet playing some really tight jazz. Yours has a very small menu and an unusual pay-what-you-want policy. I worried about food hygiene standards in the back of my mind but really enjoyed my visit.
